I feel better than I ever have, and it’s not good. There’s one little thing that I’ll never have, even if I could. And it’s not that I’m feeling desperate or sad. It’s somewhere in between good and bad. She doesn’t want me around. I think she’d rather be lonely. She likes to put me down. I think she’s tired of me. You know, I’m tired of me, too. Things come my way quicker than ever, but I still wait. One little moment is quicker than never, but it’s too late. And I don’t feel any great sense of relief. It’s somewhere between faith and disbelief. Chorus. I’ve got more options than I’ve ever had, but I’ve got no choice. I’ve got more lines than I’ve ever said, but I’ve got no voice. And it’s not that I’m feeling out of place. It’s something when we meet face to face. Chorus.

Power pop is a pretty formulaic genre -- a glorious formula, but still, predictable enough that lots and lots of bands can pull off a "perfect" blend of melody, harmony, jangle and crunch a time or two in the course of their careers. But I can't name another record that hits the magic spot EVERY SINGLE TRACK. This is so f$%#ing good. Craig O'Neill
