I’ll take a challenge if it isn’t hard. Find a promised land in my back yard. Watch the world from my window and scoff at anything that I don’t know. That’s me. If I had known I’d have to try I would have given up instead. Because I can’t find a place to call home until I feel at home in my head. This head I’ve got can’t hold enough. This head I’ve got knows too much. I’ll look for things I can already see. I’ll become what I’m told to be. I’ll listen for sounds that I’ve already heard. I’ll say my lines when I know the words. That’s me. If I had known I’d have to change I would never have left my bed. Chorus. No I never pondered one damn thing before any word I’ve said. Power pop is a pretty formulaic genre -- a glorious formula, but still, predictable enough that lots and lots of bands can pull off a "perfect" blend of melody, harmony, jangle and crunch a time or two in the course of their careers. But I can't name another record that hits the magic spot EVERY SINGLE TRACK. This is so f$%#ing good. Craig O'Neill
